Michelle Thomas was born in Bermuda and spent much of her life living in vibrant corners of the world, including Tahiti, Fiji, Guam, Iran, Japan, and Australia. Navigating different cultures and complex environments early on sparked a lifelong fascination with international accounting and global business issues—ultimately inspiring her to graduate from the University of Texas at Dallas with a Bachelor of Science in International Business and a minor in accounting.

Over the next few decades, Michelle built extensive, high-level corporate expertise in controllerships, system conversions, business development, and strategic consulting. But in 2001, she knew it was time to step out and serve the public directly. For the last 25 years, she has dedicated herself to helping individuals and business owners protect what they’ve built, constantly continuing her education to stay ahead of ever-changing tax laws. As time went on, Michelle noticed a growing, systemic problem: tax law is intentionally complicated, IRS jargon is confusing, and everyday people often feel completely voiceless when facing tax issues.

Driven by a genuine desire to protect those in need, Michelle expanded her mission. So she founded Great Day Tax Relief, LLC to specialize in tax resolution and support both clients and fellow tax preparers.
